What diffrential gearing is best and what do I have?

454 (originally diesel but was swapped) with a 3 speed manual. I can barely do 50 comfortably without stressing about the rpm’s. I have to switch into 3rd gear at about 25 mph which i think is ridiculous. What gearing do I have and what do you guys recommend?
